Reading

I think I have mentioned here before that I had concerns about Katherine having difficulty with reading. We have been working very hard with her, using flash cards that I made of the sight words and reading, "The Bob Books" that Tracey let us borrow.

Well, apparently all of Katherine's hard work has paid off! We just got the results of her GRADE (Group Reading Asssessment and Diagnostic Evaluation) testing and she did very well. She scored a 7 in every category (1 being the worst 9 being the best) and got an overall score of 133! According to the chart that comes along with the results, the average kindergarten student gets an 88 for the spring assessment! Needless to say, I am very happy and proud of her!

YAY!
