Waste of Time And Money

Sometimes, I think that the scientists and researchers waste there time on "studies."

Just to give you a few examples of why I think this:

"People who have a successfully Epilepsy Brain Surgery also feel less depressed after recovery."

The researchers spent thousands of dollars trying to figure out why this is. They studied people for a couple of years, spent all kinds of money etc.

Here's my scientific analysis after less than 2 minutes of thinking about it: These people no longer have a chronic illness...they no longer have to take meds every day, they can drive when they may not have been able to, and they have lost the stigma that is attached to a diagnosis of Epilepsy. That seems like enough reasons for me to be less depressed.

Another example:

"Children's tv is studded with violence."

No shit, really? You had to actually spend years and money researching this to come to this conclusion? Watch any kids tv show for say 10 minutes. You'll find the answers you're looking for.

Another:

"Hot tubs breed germs."

Well no kidding. I thought that hot tubs were the cleanest, safest things in the world, what with all of those people sitting in it. It's not like those people could have any illness or anything. Everyone knows that the only people that use hot tubs are the cleanest, healthiest people in the world. C'mon now.

I am thinking that the time and money could be used to researching much more important things...you know like the cure for cancer or AIDS.

Yes?
